My daughter has been wearing hers since 4 months (Nov 07), initially it was taken off for the night sleep, but as we became comfortable with the product (as well as always forgetting to put it on in the morning) she now wears it 24/7. It stays on during sleep time, in the shower and she also has her swimming lessons with it on. I recommend that you do what you feel most comfortable doing with your child, however they are made to release or break if forced for safety.
Other little kids find them interesting, my daughter has had hers pulled out of interest, with no major affect.
·How do you clean them?
Warm water and sunlight. My daughter has worn hers without specialized cleaning and it is as good as new.
